I'm Malamine Sylla, a 38-year-old Senegalese teacher of English as a foreign language at Ameth Fall Girls' High, Saint-Louis, Senegal. In my 13 years of hands-on experience, I've taught in all Middle and High school grades, has had exposure to both rural and urban school settings, and has experienced mixed and all girl schools. In the ILEP program, I'm learning new teaching techniques, with a certain interest in large class strategy, collaborative learning, and critical thinking. On the other hand, I'm enjoying my training and my cultural immersion activities.
